Sea of Galilee

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. 21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. 22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Sea of Galilee

Had a wonderful weekend camping by the Sea of Galilee. My first proper, full on, sleeping in a tent, camping trip. It was so beautiful. There was about 35 of us...we created a little village under some trees by the Lake. We arrived Friday evening and saw Tiberias light up on the opposite side of the Lake...we pitched our tents ( actually I never saw the tent go up or down, quite convieniently as Nasime says... :-) she is so like you Vad!) and played volleyball and ate barbecue food and played games.

The next morning I woke up at 6am to the sound of birds and went swimming in the Lake. The sun came out and warmed us all while we were eating our breakfast. We read, played freesbie, cards and relaxed and went home in the afternoon... was all the things I love doing, a wonderful weekend with great company.

Serving at BWC

Bahá'u'lláh ordains His resting-place as the Qiblih after His passing. The Most Holy Tomb is at Bahjí, Akká. ‘Abdu'l-Bahá describes that Spot as the "luminous Shrine", "the place around which circumambulate the Concourse on High".
In a letter written on his behalf, Shoghi Effendi uses the analogy of the plant turning in the direction of the sun to explain the spiritual significance of turning towards the Qiblih: ...just as the plant stretches out to the sunlight--from which it receives life and growth--so we turn our hearts to the Manifestation of God, Bahá'u'lláh, when we pray; ... we turn our faces ... to where His dust lies on this earth as a symbol of the inner act.
