Bear Paws
I have the day off today and was going to go to Prague with the dorm students but decided it was best to sleep my cold off. I didn't bring my work so I am basically having a lay day updating blog with photos. Yesterday eve, I went to Huberts for the first time. I had been warned about the dead stuffed animals but it was still quite a shock. not sure u can see the boar's head in the background of this pic. I had Bear Paws which was really good (not actual bear paws though!).
This is Nabil and Odin who I have mentionned previously. I think May or Noor must have ordered them to look after me cause they do!

Bunty and Babli!
It's really cool that the YOS and new teachers all love Indian movies too! We had an Indian night yesterday. Vad if u ever visit must take u to the Indian restaurant. Indian movies just never finish though! Bunty and Babli went on forever and the subtitles cut off 20 min before the end but it seemed like Neda knew the film by heart so she filled in the gaps! no photos! so sorry! must remember next time.

Chocolate cake
Had a miserable few days but all is well now! Had birthday party for the Icelandic man (Odin) yesterday which was fun. Thankyou Debbie for that chocolate cake, the best ever! simple and never fails- stress free. will add recipe to this post of the three cakes she taught me to make.
I now get Czech TV although it has fuzzy pink and green stripes across it but sometimes I put it on in the background and pretend I understand what they might be on about.
Vad, hope u cope with the whole regime thing. much love V.

First week at TIS
All my classes are really really nice- just lovely people! Nabil made a sandwich for me today!!! it was the nicest sandwhich I have ever had!! and last night I had fun with Janna and Armin. Nasime, we went to your restaurant, the kinda garden one and reminised (?). You are very much missed! May, thanks for your comments!so nice to know someone actually reads this. hehe. yep, I know the potato post was a bit wierd- Czech potatoes go green so quickly before I can eat them! and I think it was Noor who told me that that can be poisonous!
I came across this today in Newsweek:
"You haven't lived 'til you've driven a BMW 740" exclaims Reza, tehran's self-proclaimed No. 1 Ladies' Man.
I have to sort out my camera, would have loved to film assembly today...Michel, Payam and Nabil performed... was quite funny!

Potatoes
Potatoes should be removed from plastic bags and stored in brown paper bags or in trays in a cool dark place such as the bottom of a cupboard. Try to place them so that air can circulate around them.

Adjusting to a new year at TIS
I miss my family ( Nasime, I am just realising how much time we spent together!; Ramez, I miss your sense of humour and presence; May and Noor, I miss you jumping out at me at surprising times! and Naim, Kurosh, ex-L4, it's just really quite quiet without u guys).
Thankgoodness, Nabil and others are still here. You can see Nabil above Vad, one of the coolest students here at TIS. He is a really great person.

Pizza Zamosti again
I have to sort out my camera to add photos. I think it's the best bit about blogs. the writing you sort of skim read. I had dinner with all the North American newcomers. was nice. and saw some students now in Level 1. they are all really great. best bit about working here is all the nice people.
